After my last WOD I wondered what my Max. Power Clean was. So today I gave it a shot. I started light and worked up to 101kg or 223lbs. I tried 228lbs twice but failed both times. I was unfocused the first time and chickened out the second time. I had pulled it high enough but didn't get under it in time.
AMRAP in 10 minutes
10 Back Squats 135lbs
5 Hand Stand Pushups
10 Pull-ups
5 rounds
You PC over 100kg! Good job, strong work. What is your clean?
ReplyDeleteYour clean looks pretty good. Tight flat back, need to slow down off the floor though (like a deadlift) and accelerate for that second pull as you pass the knees, good hip thrust although you have more there yet, second pull needs more traps, good catch with nice high elbows. For your push jerk you need to slow down and control the descent. Experiement with different depths as well. You may be going too deep. Your bum shoud stick out. As you drive the weight up focus on getting straight UNDER the bar quickly and locking out. Tis will keep the weight straight. Let your upward drive and momentum do the work. It will be there, you just have to get yourself under it. Getting stronger. Dad
